Project Overview
BRS completed a concrete tile-to-metal roof conversion on a residential property in Rotorua, replacing the existing roof with a new 5-Rib COLORSTEEL roofing system in Slate.
The project involved removing and disposing of the existing concrete tiles before installing the complete new roofing system. The roof was fully re-purlined, with each purlin-to-rafter junction secured using one 90mm nail and one 80mm purlin screw. New roofing underlay, 0.40 BMT 5-Rib COLORSTEEL roofing, associated flashings, gutters and downpipes were also installed.
As the home was tenanted, communication and coordination with the owner and tenant were an important part of the process. BRS worked closely with the owner and kept the tenant informed throughout the project, ensuring everyone understood what was happening and what to expect as the work progressed.
The project was completed over two weeks, leaving the home with a complete new metal roofing system and updated roof drainage.
